Meelup Farmhouse Springtime Luncheon Experience - Has Ended

Mark and Liz Ahearn, owners of Meelup Farmhouse are honoured to present this event to raise funds for Saba Rose Button foundation to further the ‘rehabME’ program, an intense course of physiotherapy, for the necessary specialised equipment and for the respite for parents providing in home care.

In September 2020, Mark and Liz welcomed their first baby. Instead of being on her way home on her third day, Winter Ellery Ahearn was transferred to Perth Children Hospital where they stayed for five weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Winter had complications with her breathing and feeding and required management from doctors and nurses. Despite her five weeks in the NICU, it was unclear of what was causing these complications and they were discharged without a diagnosis.  Once home, Winter continued to experience Apnea episodes and was tube fed.  Many appointments and months later, at six and a half months old Winter was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.  

The Saba Rose Button Foundation came to the attention of Mark and Liz through one of their regular visits to Perth Children’s Hospital where the story of Saba Rose Button was shared in the hope to provide them with some emotional support during their journey.

Mark and Liz’s mission here is to shine the light on the story of Saba Rose, the Foundation and the many other little ones like their own daughter, Winter Ellery Ahearn that rely on the assistance from the foundation and Team Saba. Being the owners of Meelup Farmhouse, Mark and Liz have a unique opportunity to assist in raising funds for the Saba Rose Button Foundation in the hope to provide specialised equipment and/or physical intense care for a child with Cerebral Palsy and other movement disorders.

THE EVENT

Wednesday 6th October 2021, 12pm

Arrive to the Farmhouse and enjoy a signature cocktail alongside our famous Silkies under the olive trees.

Make your way into the Farmhouse to be seated on long tables on our back verandah and enjoy a five course degustation lunch designed by Meelup Farmhouse Head Chef, Dean Williams, and generously paired with premium wines by Wise Wines.

Amazing auction, raffles and live entertainment throughout the day.

Dress in tones of Springtime casual-wear.
