James Dean Residential is honoured to be partnering with The Allison Baden-Clay Foundation to host a Gala Fundraising Event ‘Shine’ to raise awareness in the community of domestic violence. The issue is becoming increasingly prevalent, with several recent high profile cases in our community, to name but a few. The James Dean team has recently been directly involved supporting clients who found themselves in a domestic violence situation. This has inspired our team to want to do more to raise awareness and support for victims and their families of domestic violence.

Domestic Violence can affect men, women and children in the family environment. A perfect choice for our chosen partnership is the Brisbane based The Allison Baden-Clay Foundation which strives to educate and empower the community to prevent family and domestic violence.

The 'Shine' Gala Event, will Shine the Light on domestic and family violence, to help to build a community that is committed to bringing about change. A core value of The Allison Baden-Clay Foundation is kindness, as it is hoped that through kindness, the problems such as domestic and family violence will cease to exist in the community.

The Gala will be held 17 September, 2021 at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, Manly. The night will feature a two-course dinner, charity auction and some great entertainment, featuring 'The Voice’s' Charlie McFarlane. Most importantly however, will be the message from the keynote speaker, Vanessa Fowler, who is the Chair of the Foundation and sister to the late Allison Baden-Clay.
