Challenge yourself to kayak around the Whitsunday Islands and get sponsored and raise vital funds to support families impacted by Motor Neurone Disease in Queensland.
Get the chance to paddle around the beautiful Whitsunday Islands this August and raise funds to support the work of MND Queensland to reduce the impact of a motor neurone disease diagnosis on families across the State. Over four nights (2 days either side for transit to Airlie Beach start/finish location) you will experience bush-walking, camping, snorkelling as well as kayaking and will take in Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet, Solway Pass, Sandy Bay, South Molle Island and Molle Passage.
Motor Neurone Disease affects more than 400 Queenslanders. There is no known cause and no cure. On average two Australians are diagnosed with MND each day and sadly, two pass away from this cruel disease each day. The average lifespan from diagnosis is just 2.5 years. MND Queensland provides quality supports and services to families impacted by MND including information, referrals and support groups through our Advisory Service and important medical equipment and assistive technology through our Equipment Service to help people with MND stay independent and at home as long as possible where they belong.
You can make a positive difference in the lives of people with MND by registering for this event and getting sponsored. We're challenging every person registered for this event to raise a minimum of $1,500.
