AIMS Tree Planting - Has Ended
DO Details
Concerned about the carbon footprint we generate at work? We at the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) are too, and we are doing something about it! On the morning (9am-noon) of Friday 12 June, AIMS-Perth is holding a corporate tree planting day with the Friends of Lake Claremont. We will plant native tree species to restore the area around Lake Claremont, which is a Conservation Category Wetland and Bush Forever Site. Up to 60 places are available, please register if you would like to participate.
AIMS-WA people - this is a sanctioned work activity and includes morning tea!
2020 is a pivotal year for 'bending the curve' of global carbon emissions so that the average Earth's temperature doesn't exceed 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels. Why is this so important? Check out the IPCC 1.5 degree report and the diagram below!!
