Painters & Dockers Fundraiser in Solidarity with Timor Leste Trade Unions - Has Ended

The Maritime Union of Australia (Victorian Branch) and Union Aid Abroad - APHEDA are excited to announce a special fundraiser featuring legendary Melbourne band the Painters and Dockers, to raise funds for Timorese Trade Union campaigns. Unions in Timor Leste are fighting for an increase to the minimum wage (currently only $115 USD per month) along with a number of other key demands for workers including dignity in employment and improving rights for informal workers.  Join us on Sunday 26th April from 3pm-7pm at the MUA rooms in West Melbourne for this special gig featuring: Painters & Dockers Support Acts (TBA) Drinks & Snacks included in ticket price All funds raised will go to support unions in Timor Leste to organise and campaign for workers' rights.  For more information, please contact Samantha Bond, Organiser Timor Leste sbond@apheda.org.au
