Enjoy a day of wellness in the outdoors, connecting with nature and helping Koalas. Spend time outdoors connecting with mother nature Socialise with like-minded people Experience koalas in their natural habitat Help create a new environment for koalas Help to maintain Australia's natural forests Help us save wild koalas in the You Yangs and the Western Plains From June to August, we plant koala trees. We allow 1.5 to 2 hours for this activity, which occurs on private properties throughout the region. If the property is far from the You Yangs, there might not be a koala walk on that day, but there will be a nature walk. From September to May, we maintain koala habitat in the You Yangs by removing Boneseed weeds. We allow 1.5 hours for this activity. Boneseed removal is chemical-free, doesn't need any special equipment and is easy! Part of the day will be spent watching wild koalas in their natural habitat. You will be accompanied by two wildlife professionals who will guide you through the You Yangs national park. We will also introduce you to the koalas known from 20 years of koala research in the area. Locals: $30 adults, $20 children/student/concession (Children must be accompanied by an adult) Tourists: $120 * This small donation goes directly back to koalas and allows us to keep doing the amazing research and hands on work we do. The nature experience we provide is educational and unique.
