About The Nuba Mountains

The Nuba Mountains is a region in Sudan where almost every family has had lived experience of the war. Many schools have been decimated by the onging war, teachers have no books with which to teach and many families too poor to send children to school

Who we are

One in four children Inc. is a not for profit founded with a vision to eradicate poverty in the Nuba Mountains by building a future where all children can read and write through education and knowledge sharing.

Our main vehicle of change is through collection and donation of reading and textbooks, as well as building school libraries for communial benefit in the Nuba Mountains.

Why Books?

Only one in 3 children attend school in the Nuba Mountains. We know Books change lives because we have lived on bothsides of the illiteracy and literacy equation. Founded by Refugees, we know how far a improved literacy does to uplift one from poverty.
