Australian Society for Promoting Education (ASPE) is an Australian community sponsored organisation to help promote education in developing countries. ASPE has been working as an Australian registered organisation since May 2012.
ASPE’s focus is to establish community based education promotion initiatives for students of low socio-economic status in developing countries. Compared to developed nations, education quality and literacy rate are far too low in many parts of the world giving rise to complex socio-economic issues. In an effort to help alleviate these issues, ASPE has taken initiative to help students in those countries to gain and complete their education.
Australia, as a nation, does recognize its obligations in promoting education around the world. Scholarships and financial help is extended to students from a number of low socio-economic background countries on Government and individual levels. ASPE has realised that community organizations too, have an effective role to play in supporting the education causes. Therefore, ASPE endeavours to design and seek initiatives to promote education in developing countries through community support. A Government and individual level. ASPE’s approach is to identify education need areas in developing countries and then design a project for the specific need. The Australian community is then approached to pool the donations in order to meet the required resources.
ASPE has designed processes to ensure fairness and transparency during all stages of its projects.
