Backpacks 4 VIC Kids give to children entering out-of-home care and emergency accommodation at no cost to the children or their carers, but it can cost us around $50 to complete and deliver a filled nappy bag or backpack.
Please help by donating towards the cost of our gifts. You will be helping a child immensely.

Drink on arrival, 3 tiered silver stands of delicious mixed variety sandwiches, bruschetta, scones, tea and coffee and more.

The afternoon includes:

- Guest speakers
- Raffles
- Auction items
- Games and entertainment

Stay tuned, we will be updating our auction items weekly.

Sponsors will be included on the day and also updated weekly.

DO Supports

Backpacks 4 VIC Kids. • Provide backpacks as sought after by Department of Human Services and Foster Care agencies, upon written request or by agreement • Operate on donations sought through fundraising, grant applications and donations • Operate from premises which are available at no cost or at a minimum pepper-corn rent • The organisation will use social networking responsibly, to spread awareness of our cause, and to increase donations of items and money • Members are welcome to donate items, and to volunteer to sort and pack on the dates arranged by the organisation • Support carers by providing quality packs for the kids so they don’t have to worry about little things like toothbrushes and hygiene while trying to settle a distraught teen or toddler • Be considerate towards the DHS and agency workers and support agencies because they are overworked and may not be able to accept assistance of backpacks while under stress • Build relationships within the local, state and nationwide community • Actively recruit others willing to start projects in their own areas, providing they meet the criteria • Acknowledge donations and pledges with thank you cards or letters • Build relationships with businesses to facilitate continued material support of the organisation
