The Hamilton and District Rural Australians for Refugeens presents a Community Cultural Celebration. It is to be an afternoon sharing stories, songs, music and food from near and far, celebrating the many cultures that call the Greater Hamilton area home. The event is free but we ask that you bring a plate that is a reflection of your own culture and we will be seeking contributions to be made for our ongoing work in the form of a donation or the purchase of raffle tickets for the "Winter Indulgence" raffle.

We are a volutary community group from the Hamilton region. Our fundraising activities go to providing scholarship support to former refugees seeking to obtain qualifications, phone cards for people in detention and regular support for the Assylum Seeker Resouce Centre. Within our local community, we actively support new families coming to the region by: finding accomodation while they investigate the move, providing "buddy" support when they arrive and helping with language development and integration.
