Please join us on Wednesday June 12th at a special event with The Funding Network – using the collective power of people to solve society’s most pressing problems.

Taking place during Sydney’s VIVID Festival, the evening promises to inspire. You will hear from three of AMP Foundation’s Tomorrow Makers – amazing Australian’s dedicated to changing the lives society’s most vulnerable.

This fundraising event uses an innovative live crowdfunding model. Your tax-deductible donation will be matched by the AMP Foundation.

Loren O’Keeffe - Missing Person’s Advocacy Network
Every day, over 100 Australians are reported missing and many will remain missing long-term. This directly impacts half a million Australians every year psychologically, emotionally and financially. Loren understands the pain and unique grief that those left behind experience. After her brother Dan disappeared, she launched what became the biggest social media campaign of its kind in the world. Requests for help from other families prompted Loren to found the Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MPAN). Supported by volunteers, Loren draws on her communications and networking skills to find creative and innovative ways to go beyond a missing person’s vital statistics and tell their story. Find out more about Loren here.

Hunter Johnson - The Man Cave
Hunter co-founded The Man Cave, a non-profit that runs preventative and emotional intelligence programs for boys and young men. Delivered through schools and sports clubs, the programs are in demand at a time when suicide is the leading cause of death for young men under 25 and male-perpetrated domestic violence continues to claim lives. The Man Cave creates a safe space where young men can openly talk about challenges such as bullying, school pressure, relationships, puberty and family setbacks. Hunter will use his grant to train more facilitators and help equip young men with all-important social and emotional skills. Find out more about Hunter here.

Kylie Harris - Midnight Feast
Kylie has poured her heart and soul into Midnight Feast – a theatre company she founded to create performance opportunities for people living with physical and intellectual disabilities. It aims to help address the lack of representation of people with disabilities in Australia’s performing arts arena. It has built a reputation for creating engaging and provocative work that does not limit its performers, but rather plays to their strengths and helps them to develop. Thanks to Kylie’s hard work and belief in her artists, the troupe has performed at the Sydney Opera House - with Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival next on their list. Find out more about Kylie here.

Refreshments and canapes will be provided, followed by an evening of goodwill and inspiration. We do hope you can join us for this special event.
