DO Details

A fun night will be held, with games, great questions, an air-guitar competition, live auction (WCE 2019 signed Jersey), silent auction and raffles.

Bring a table of 8 or bring along yourself and join another team.  Everyone is welcome!

A sausage sizzle and other savoury and sweet snacks will be available from 6.00 p.m. for purchase.  The Quiz will begin at 7.00 p.m.   No BYO, as drinks will be sold at Club prices.

We are raising funds for installing community toilets into 3 villages in Timor Leste.

These communities have prioritised this need recognising the activity’s immense value.  Limited access to sanitation in many areas in Timor negatively impacts community health, wellbeing and access to education and we are committed to working with the community to complete the project.  On completion of the project we will develop a strategy, with the Timor team, for the long-term maintenance of the water system, as well as education on hygiene.

DO Supports

Timor Leste Vision (TLV) is a very small voluntary registered charity based in Perth to deliver community-based projects in Timor Leste (Timor).  We also now have a small team of volunteers in Timor who studied in Perth and on their return home wanted to continue their relationship with us, hence the beginning of a small on-ground team in Timor. We are working in partnership with the 3 communities, a youth organisation UJ-Bertade and The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Australian Aid: Friendship Grants (DFAT).  It's a huge project and many thanks to DFAT who have awarded a grant to TLV towards this project to help make it possible.  If you would like further information on TLV, we invite you to view our projects and learn more about our organisation via our website at www.tlv.org.au.
