Good Friday Appeal Kids Day Out 2019 - Has Ended

Come along and enjoy a day of entertainment with food, music, rides and lots of fun this Easter at the Good Friday Appeal Kids Day Out at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Centre will be transformed into a fun filled family festival on April 19th with free entry and $3-$10 for selected activities.

The annual event is a fantastic way to bring the whole family together for a day of activities and entertainment - and all for a good cause. The Good Friday Appeal is the Royal Children’s Hospital largest fundraiser raising funds ‘for the kids’ of Australia who need much-needed support. This year the funds from the Appeal will go towards patient and family centered care, equipment and technology, research and leadership, and education and training.

With more than 80,000 people expected to attend the event this year, we encourage Victorians to come and participate, donate and enjoy the Kids Day Out!

Activities include:

Ice Skating Wonderland! Lace up your skates at the Bank of Melbourne Ice Wonderland or take a ride down the new 15-metre slide! Skate hire is available to ensure kids of all ages can skate the day away.

Teddy Bear Hospital - Bring your teddy or soft toy for a checkup at the Teddy Bear Hospital with our expert student doctors from The University of Melbourne.

AFL Activity - Practice your AFL handball skills at the Essendon and North Melbourne Football Clubs display.

Polly Woodside - Walk the plank with the pirates on Polly Woodside.

Classic Cars - Check out the Thunderbird Owners' Club’s amazing classic car display and the 13Cabs Vintage Cab.

Experience life as an emergency service worker. Check out the great Emergency Services display and learn the lifesaving skill of CPR with the St John CPR Lab.

Ice Cream Dreams - Create your own ice cream treat at MCEC’s Ice Cream-O-Rama or grab yourself a sweet treat at the Nova ice cream van.

Cook Up A Storm - Find your inner chef and learn some cooking skills at Bubble Muffin kids cooking classes.

Kids Karaoke - Have you got what it takes to be the next singing/dancing superstar? Get your groove on with our dance classes and kids’ karaoke

Woolworths Fresh Food Market - Treat your taste buds to some delicious produce at the Woolworths Fresh Fair.
