BUILDING COMMUNITY THROUGH SWIMMING - AN INSPIRING TALK FROM WORLD SWIMMING CHAMPION

Join THE SWIM PROJECT on Saturday 2nd March, 2019 for a unique opportunity to hear Australian Paralympian Swimmer Matthew Levy's inspirational journey to becoming a World Champion.

The Swim Project aims to build community through swimming by empowering, educating and supporting young adults from multi-cultural backgrounds to learn to swim. We want to see more conversations generated about swimming experiences and water safety with our friends and families.

MEET A SEVEN-TIME PARALYMPIC MEDALLIST AND WORLD RECORD HOLDER!

Born 15 weeks premature with Cerebral Palsy and vision impairment, Matt has survived 46 operations. Swimming was initially encouraged by his parents for health and fitness and became his passion.

His swimming career and personal achievements are nothing short of outstanding: seven-time Paralympic medallist, world record holder, Order of Australia Medal recipient, Paralympic Swimmer of 2018, Little Treasures charity and Australia day ambassador to name a few.

Displaying a humble spirit on both the swimming and speaking platforms, Matt proves what an individual can achieve through determination, hard work and a growth mindset. Matt has previously been invited as the keynote speaker at prestigious events such as the University of Queensland MBA Careers Week, Westpac Graduate Development Program and the Australian Finance Industry Association.
