beyondblue are a charity concerned with current mental health issues and really want to do their bit for the betterment of Australian mental health and support for those (and their families) who are affected. Today, there are different problems related to mental health all around Australia and they are constantly increasing.

Most shockingly of all beyondblue’s website states that “Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged between 15 and 44, with around 3,000 people dying by suicide every year. That's an average of eight people every day. For every suicide, there are tragic ripple effects for friends, families, colleagues and the broader community”. This is a shocking fact and must change- these are our brothers and sisters. beyondblue want to bring help and support to those struggling, ease their pain and remove the stigmas linked to mental health, to those suffering.

The Chidlow Tavern is hosting a Car Cruise & Blue Car Show 'n' Shine to help raise awareness and funds to support beyondblue. There will be a $10 registration fee per car (all proceeds going to beyondblue). There is no set cruise route, we just ask you reach us between 11 and 12. If you would prefer to join a cruise we are delighted to announce there will be several cruise routes available this year thanks to the kind support of Charger Club of WA, Jaguar Car Club and Perth Subaru Alliance, please stay posted for further details

This is an open event for all makes and models, so the car show will have 3 classes. 1)classic 2) modern 3) judges’ choice.

There will be entertainment on the day including live music from Crippled Chaos and Circus Performers from Menagerie Entertainment. An Auction (with all proceeds for Charity) of items kindly donated by local businesses and organisations including a personalised, engraved stone from Memories Set On Stone, an original watercolor painting by Sue Waller and wooden replica Semi-Automatic Truck from the Mens Shed. Plus, we will have a return of our Sunday markets and trade stalls, and much more...
