The South West's premier charity food and wine event 

The Chefs Long Table Lunch, iis now in its 16th year of helping the South West community achieve its goals.  It  is Bunbury's annual food and wine extravaganza. In 2018, the event reached its target of distributing more than $1M  to the South West community.

There is not other event like this in the West!  We invite you, your friends and your family to enjoy a stunning afternoon of exquisite food, delicious local wine, fabulous entertainment, an exciting auction and a great day out!


Magnificent menu

One of the highlights of the Chefs Long Table Lunch is the outstanding menu, featuring a large range of delicious fresh South West produce and outstanding local wine.

Under the guidance of WA Food Ambassador Don Hancey and local chef Julie Lawrence, a team of Western Australia’s top chefs donate their time and expertise to coordinate the menu and food.

An all-inclusive ticket for the event includes:

  • Eight course banquet designed by WA leading chefs
  • Large selection of beverages including wine, beer, soft drinks and water
  • Live entertainment
  • Silent and live auctions
  • An opportunity to mingle and relax while overlooking Bunbury's spectacular inlet.

Wonderful volunteers

The Chefs Long Table Lunch is run entirely by volunteers, with dozens of Soluth West people helping the event raise money for the community. There are opportunities for community minded people to participate - across food and beverage, serving, helping with set-up and assisting with ticketing, raffles and other functions. What is the Chefs Long Table Lunch?

The Chefs Long Table Lunch is Bunbury's annual food and wine charity extravaganza. The event, run by community volunteers, has raised and distributed more than $1M to the South West community.

A highlights of the Chefs Long Table Lunch is the outstanding menu, which includes a large range of delicious fresh South West produce and outstanding local wine. Under the guidance of WA Food Ambassador Don Hancey and local chef Julie Lawrence, a team of Western Australia’s top chefs donate their time and expertise to coordinate the menu and food.

The all-inclusive Chefs Long Table Lunch ticket includes:

  • Shaded seating on the banks of the Leschenault Inlet under the huge marquee.
  • An amazing banquet prepared by top South West chefs.
  • A wide selection of premium beverages including award-winning South West wine, beer, soft drinks and water.

Where and when is it held?

The Chefs Long Table lunch is always held on the last Sunday in February. In 2019, it will be held on Sunday 24 February, from 12pm to 5pm. The event is held under a big marquee on the Pat Usher Foreshore (opposite the Bunbury Entertainment Centre), Blair Street, Bunbury, Western Australia 6230.

How can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available online through our ticket provider Eventbrite : https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/chefs-long-table-lunch-tickets-28345923420

Tickets cost $180 per person, plus a booking fee of $9.01. Tickets will be delivered electronically to your email address after booking and purchase.

Purchasing tickets through our online ticket provider is preferred. However there are options for cash payment if required. For assistance with ticketing, or group bookings, please contact our ticketing coordinator Bonnie Allen  via tickets@chefslongtable.com

How can I get there?

The Chefs Long Table Lunch is held under a big marquee on the Pat Usher Foreshore (opposite the Bunbury Entertainment Centre), Blair Street, Bunbury, Western Australia 6230. We encourage you to organise a lift, skipper or taxi (Bunbury Taxis can be contacted on 131 008.) Parking is available nearby at the Bunbury Entertainment Centre carpark or the Holman Street carpark (please note tickets are required).

Are there refunds?

The Chefs Long Table Lunch is an alfresco event, and will proceed whether rainy or dry. Plan ahead with appropriate clothing and prepare to have a great time! There will be no refunds.

Who does the Chefs Long Table Lunch support?

The Chefs Long Table Lunch is a charity event that supports a range of important South West community groups and initiatives. 2019 will mark its 16th year and it has raised and distributed more than $1 million to the South West community. In 2018, funds raised from the event went to 4 key initiatives:

  • City of Bunbury Surf Life saving 
  • GP Down South
  • Rotary Club of Leschenault
  • Heal for life Foundation

Who are the Chefs Long Table Lunch organisers?

The Chefs Long Table Lunch is run entirely by a community committee of volunteers. Dozens of South West people helping the event raise money for the community. There are opportunities for community minded people to participate - across food and beverage, serving, helping with set-up and assisting with ticketing, raffles and other functions. Is there reserved seating?

Yes, there is reserve seating, and patrons can select a seat at the time of ticket purchase. Please be aware the Chefs Long Table Lunch seating map is indicative only. We will do our best to accommodate seating requests, including location. However no guarantees will be made over seat locations. Seating cannot be changed on the day, so please do not ask.

Responsible service of alcohol?

The Chefs Long Table Lunch is a licenced event - please do not bring your own alcohol.  Under 18's MUST be accompanies by a parent or legal guardian.  Event Organiser, Exhibitors and Restaurants can refuse to serve you alcohol if security believe that you are 'intoxicated'. We will assume you are 'intoxicated' if:

  • Your speech, balance, co-ordination or behaviour is affected; and
  • It is reasonable to believe you are intoxicated

The Chefs Long Table Lunch or a police officer can refuse you entry,  or ask you to leave, if they think you:

  • Are likely to cause injury to anyone else or damage property, or otherwise cause risk to public safety; or
  • Are disorderly;
  • Are in a non-smoking area; or
  • Have drugs on you

The Chefs Long Table Lunch is run entirely by volunteers and the food and wine served on the day is donated by South West producers. The event first ran in 2004 - since that time it has raised and distributed more than $925,000 to the South West community.
