International Men’s Day was added to the United Nations calendar in November 1999. One of its key focus areas is men’s mental health. The Rotary Club of Norwest Sunrise is proud to arrange this special event to assist men and women in our local community to make a positive difference in men’s mental & physical health outcomes.
Our guest speakers include:
-
Peter Kirwan – Black Dog Institute. Men’s mental health. Is it all in the mind?
-
Mal Berry – Virgin Active. The importance of exercise in the aging process.
Now we have men surviving into retirement years, what do they do?
-
James Langley – Men’s Shed and the importance of socialising with like-minded people.
-
Robert Bredin – Probus. Providing fantastic opportunities for meeting other people and enjoying your passions in life.
Men and women attending will leave this event better informed and with a broad range of practical ideas to make a positive impact on men’s health and well-being.
Breakfast is included in the attendance fee. Any surplus funds raised will be distributed to the Rotary Drought Relief Appeal.
