You’re invited to Australia for UNHCR’s end of year event. This year our event will feature a conversation with our Deputy National Director Trudi Mitchell and Fairfax investigative journalist Tim Elliott, who both travelled to Guatemala and Mexico earlier this year to support UNHCR’s campaign for ‘Children on the Run’.
Tim and Trudi will share their experiences of this ‘silent emergency’ that has seen hundreds of thousands of children and families forced to flee gang violence. Their discussion will be illustrated by the compelling photos of award-winning photojournalist Kate Geraghty who accompanied the mission.
Enjoy some light refreshments on arrival at 6pm, with the event starting at 6.30pm.
