For the last 13 years the Well Women's Centre has successfully hosted the annual Pink Ribbon Breakfast fundraiser. During this time and with the support of BHP, we have raised a huge amount of over $300,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This event and the support of breast cancer is extremely close to our hearts as a women's health organisation. We are extremely proud of the efforts and the success of these events due to the generosity and compassion of our amazing Port Hedland community. We are so proud of this community and care greatly for the people in it. So much so that this year we are taking a new direction with our annual fundraiser.

This year we would like to introduce our inaugural Pink Pilbara Breakfast. We are extremely excited to take our annual event which you are all familiar with and work it into an event that is close to home. With our Pink Pilbara Breakfast our aim is to support and assist families in the Pilbara who are affected by cancer. This year all the money raised at our event will go to a Pilbara based oraganisation REACH US - Pilbara Inc. We are so thrilled and excited to be able to support another not for profit organisation who is providing valuable and important support to families that are close to our home.

We are excited to make this announcement and we are thrilled to have so much support and positive feedback on this inspiring change. So here it is. Save the date this October 19th for the Hedland Well Women's Centre Pink Pilbara Breakfast.. A morning full of pink, delicious breakfast, prizes for best dressed individual and team, silent and live auction items, entertainment, laughter and plenty of fun.

The Well Women's Centre provides a wholly free service that offers support for women in all aspects of their lives and is often referred to as a ‘Home Away from Home.’ In caring for women the Hedland Well Women’s Centre is caring for the health of families and Port Hedland's community. We celebrate our dedicated support of the health and well-being of women in our town for the past 28 years. Our service engages over 12,000 women, children and visitors each year. You are welcomed and cared for in an open, non-judgmental atmosphere and confidentiality is assured at all times. Our staff take a holistic approach to women’s issues focusing on physical, emotional and mental health. Our programs and services are open to all women living in or visiting Port Hedland, including Aboriginal, migrant and refugee women, and their families. Our varied activities are designed to create connections and friendships and provide important clinical health services and counselling to women and their families.
