A trip down memory lane: triumphs and challenges from past food security interventions in Victoria
Australia’s Right to Food Coalition presents this FREE masterclass to allow the current and future food security workforce to learn from individuals who have played a key role in food security interventions in Victoria over the past 30 years. Speakers will share advice on how we can continue to advocate for and implement effective interventions and programs to achieve equitable access to food.
“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” Santayana, 1906
This event will officially launch a written compilation of federal, state, local and community level food security interventions from the past 30 years. Once launched, this resource will be publically available for reference and use.
By the end of this masterclass, participants will be able to:
- Reflect on learnings from previous food security interventions in Victoria
- Identify contextual factors that are likely to promote or hinder the success of ‘upstream’ food security interventions
- Create new and/or strengthen existing connections with members of Victoria’s food security workforce
