SILAS IRUNGU // Silas was born and raised in Kenya’s second largest slum, Mathare. Life was dangerous for Silas and his family, with drugs and violence common in the neighbourhood. He found hope when he was enrolled in Compassion’s Child Sponsorship Program at his local church. He went on to become the first person in his family to attend university. Silas now works for Compassion International as media content manager for Africa.
