Celebrating 10 years of Australia’s largest “U.G.L.Y.” hospitality event
More than 1500 bartenders across the country will be calling themselves U.G.L.Y. for a good cause this October and November as part of the tenth anniversary of the Leukaemia Foundation’s U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year campaign.
To be an U.G.L.Y. Bartender is a beautiful thing – U.G.L.Y. stands for Understanding, Generous, Likeable You, and participants will demonstrate this by holding creative, fun and compassionate community fundraising events in venues across the nation.
All money raised supports the Leukaemia Foundation’s vital patient accommodation services which provides a home-away-from-home for Australians living with a blood cancer such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma who need to relocate for treatment.
Since starting in 2008, the U.G.L.Y Bartender of the Year campaign has raised $12 million – enough to pay for 150,000 nights.
