This year the ABF is “Going Bush”. Our Gala Dinner & Fundraising Art Auction is being held in the Function Room of the Chatswood Golf club situated in the beautiful forest of Kurringai National Park.
 
In 2018 the ABF is supporting three major programs:

Ngarrawanajirri Tiwi Art, Bathurst Island –continuance of the art activities for the disabled. These include painting, fabric art, and carving in the historic "Keeping Place".

Beyond Empathy, "DEFIANT" Lismore area. An arts, story telling and counselling 3 year program to involve Indigenous youth.

"Emu Runner" – Brewarrina. A film based in the community and one particular family in Brewarrina. Exploring issues faced by many families across the country.

Art viewing and drinks followed by dinner, entertainment (including performance by Peter O'Doherty and didgeridoo performance by Blak Douglas) and art auction

Fundraising art auction will include artwork by Pat Brassington, Paul Connor, Mick Glasheen,
 Tim Johnson, Ngarrawanajirri Tiwi Artists, Gary Shead, Andrew Tomkins, Tony Tuckson, and many others.

Auction catalogue for both Live & Silent auction will be available on www.aboriginal.org.au

Aboriginal Benefits Foundation is a not for profit foundation established in 2004 to promote, provide and carry out activities, facilities and projects for the benefit, welfare and well-being of Aboriginal communities throughout Australia and the members of those communities. The Aboriginal Benefits Foundation has a particular focus on supporting health and education projects with a connection to Aboriginal art and/or artists, which are undertaken to assist the youth, the aged and those who suffer from infirmity, disability, poverty or other disadvantageous social or economic circumstances.
