Preventing child abuse: Q&A Forum Alice Springs
Any amount of child abuse is too much: it hurts the individual, it hurts the family and it hurts the community - with huge emotional, social and financial costs that can last for generations. The good news, however, is that child abuse can be prevented if we all play our part. Why then is there still so little talk about the things we can do to create communities that support families and children - before problems arise? Why is the topic of primary prevention still largely missing from conversations about child abuse and neglect? And, when prevention is mentioned, why is it still so often confused with early intervention?
This National Child Protection Week (2-8 September) NAPCAN and Anglicare NT invite you to join the conversation about prevention.
Let’s talk. Let’s question. Let’s learn. Let’s share. Let’s get inspired.
Join us for a lively and inspiring Q&A Forum about why primary prevention needs to be front and centre when we talk about child abuse and neglect.
