DO Details

Existing Be Connected Network Partners and organisations interested in joining this national network are invited to this unique training and networking event.

  • How do I keep older Australians engaged?

  • How can I apply for a grant?

  • What does a Be Connected learner session typically look like?

Find answers to these questions and many more during this Be Connected session led by Good Things Foundation.

We will walk you through the program and explain the exclusive resources and support available  through the Be Connected Network. We will also provide direct program delivery support for those already involved and help organisations to get the most out of the Be Connected program.

On the day participants will be able to:

  • Meet Good Things Foundation and understand our vision

  • Understand the vital role Be Connected Network Partners plays in digital inclusion

  • Learn about the Be Connected Network resources and support available to Network Partners

  • Understand the grants available and how to apply for them

  • Share best practices for engaging older Australians in learning basic internet skills

  • Network with other organisations

  • Ask questions and receive immediate support

Light refreshments will be served on arrival.

Please note, places are limited - book early to secure your spot. Organisations may bring multiple team members to the workshop, but every member must reserve their own General Admission ticket.

DO Supports

Established in 2017, Good Things Foundation Australia is a for-purpose organisation that aims to support the more than 3 million digitally excluded Australians. Whether limited by availability or ability, these individuals miss out on a number of opportunities. Good Things Foundation Australia works to bridge this gap through targeted digital inclusion initiatives and resources.Recently, we received funding from the Australian Government to establish and support the Be Connected Network. This national network of community organisations is dedicated to helping older Australians to thrive in a digital world. Good Things Foundation Australia uses our expertise to build and facilitate a dynamic network by providing educational tools, funding, collaboration opportunities and other critical resources.Good Things Foundation Australia is a subsidiary of Good Things Foundation (UK).
