A Night of Hope Inaugural Gala 2018 - Has Ended
DO Details
Did you know Dyslexia affects up to 1 in 10 Australians, but it’s not a disability we often hear about or understand?
Did you know people who have dyslexia suffer from alarmingly high rates of anxiety and depression and have a staggering 46 percent higher rate of attempted suicide than the rest of the population?
The inaugural gala aims to unveil the hidden unspoken stories of dyslexia and raise much needed awareness and hope for those with dyslexia.
In addition, raise vital funds to support Dear Dyslexic in their efforts to provide professional and evidence-based support that can help people with dyslexia enjoy better mental health and happier connected lives.
Every day, people who have dyslexia struggle with the daily challenges of life which can lead to disengagement and disconnection from their education or struggle to find and keep a job or even progress in their career.
By sharing stories of struggle, resilience and success, Dear Dyslexic want to give people with dyslexia hope that they too can succeed and reach their full potential, no matter what.
An evening guaranteed to raise hope through inspiring guest speakers, live and silent auctions, live music and guest entertainment, as well as food and drinks included plus much much more.
To MC the first gala, we welcome the amazing and talented George McEncroe, a mother of a teenager with dyslexia, a comedian, Founder of women’s only RideShare App Shebah and a StartUpVic award winner.
You can help us to support these young people achieve their full potential.
