DO Details

The Welcome Dinner Project connects newly arrived people with established Australians over dinner conversation in the comfort of their own home. The Welcome Dinner Project in Victoria is holding a fundraising movie night so that people can learn more about the project and at the same time, see a powerful Australian made documentary which depicts the experiences of refugees in Indonesia. For more information on the Welcome Dinner Project, visit https://www.joiningthedots.org/ or checkout our Facebook Page.

The Staging Post follows Afghan Hazara refugees, Muzafar and Khadim stuck in Indonesia after Australia 'stopped the boats'. Facing many years in limbo, they built a community and started the school which inspired a refugee education revolution. The Staging Post is about friendship, connection and the power of community.
