The day will be focused on Helping Hope Happen,with practical ideas about how emotional resources can be built within vulnerable clients. The morning session will be presented by Marie McLeod who holds a Bachelor of Social Work, and Certificates in both Adult Education and Positive Education. She uses the work of Dr Ruby Payne to support professionals to better understand and support families with fewer resources. Marie has a background in child protection, juvenile justice, disability and community development.   Maree has presented in a number of different settings including the Dept of Education and Training.  For further information see https://kindnesscompany.com.au/about-us/   The afternoon session will be presented by Vanessa Bonica CEO of Hope City Mission, who holds a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking, worked in Commercial lending (specialising in  Church, Charity and Property development ) and in 2007 was rated as No.12 in the nation in the inaugural MPA Top 40 Commercial Brokers list. Since 2008 Vanessa has worked full time building Hope City Mission with the main focus being transforming people's lives and empowering them to take control of their finances.  The afternoon session will skill workers with knowledge and practical tools on how to identify client with financial literacy deficits as well as providing insights in how to address those their needs. Our goal is to empower clients with the knowledge and skills to control their own finances and see hope in their future.     Please note that tea and coffee is supplied,  BYO lunch.
