Darkness to Daylight 2018 - Has Ended

The Darkness to Daylight Challenge is held at South Bank Parklands during Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month.  The 2018 event will be held over 23/24 May. The Darkness to Daylight Challenge is held at South Bank Parklands during Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month. 

The 2018 event will be held over 23/24 May. The 110km night run, which can be run as a an individual or as part of a team, also includes an early morning 10km route and 3km walk for supporters. Every kilometre symbolises a life lost to the epidemic of domestic and family violence each year. A major community awareness-raising activity, through its symbolism, the event  represents bringing the issue and those affected out of the darkness and into the daylight. 

The event will close out Domestic & Family Violence Month which commences with the annual Candle Lighting Vigil on 2 May 2018, where we will continue the tradition of re- lighting and handing over a candle to our lead runner at the beginning of the 110km overnight run.
