QSEC 2017 Annual General Meeting - Has Ended

The Queensland Social Enterprise Council invites members, associates and the wider community to take part in this year's Annual General Meeting proceedings at Wandering Cooks in West End.

In a social procurement double-header, this year's presenters are:

• Ingrid Burkett, a social designer, designing processes, products and knowledge that deepen social impact and facilitate social innovation. Ingrid is the Director of Learning and Systems Innovation at TACSI and in this role she is passionate about understanding what works in creating sustainable social innovation for the purpose of social impact and systems change. Ingrid is also a founding QSEC member and workshop facilitator around the Business Model Canvas for Social Enterprise.
  
• Frank Dineen is Social Procurement advisor to the Queensland Government Department of Housing and Public Works. This year, the Queensland Government released a new Procurement Policy, featuring social procurement at its core, and identifying QSEC as a key organisation and resource for Government buyers. Frank will provide an overview on the new policy, the opportunities for QSEC members, and how QSEC can play a role.

Wandering Cooks, West End has kindly opened their doors to the QSEC community and sponsored the event space. Light snacks will be provided by social enterprise caterer Little Delish, and a paid bar will be available on the evening.

Members wishing to nominate a person for the executive committee can forward a nomination in writing to the chair by email to Amelia Salmon, chair@qsec.org.au. All nominations are due shortly on 28th November.
