Foundational Non-Profit Consulting - Practical Fundraising Strategy Workshop for Small Not For Profits & Clubs

Who should come to this workshop?

  • Individuals looking to start or grow their own Non-profit group, club or charity.

  • Members of the leadership team of small Non-profit groups, clubs or charities trying to be more effective in fundraising and writing grants.

What's the workshop about?

Many small non-profit and recreational clubs are run by volunteers who bring their various skills and time in business and community to be used to grow a cause, charity or sports club. However, running a Not For Profit organisation requires money and lots of it if you want to grow - but with 60,000 charities in Australia competing for the same small pot of funding most small clubs and not for profit groups struggle to effectively raise the funding and resources they need to grow. Knowing how to connect your groups cause to the right audience of supporters and use your team effectively in different ways to get a high return on your efforts, is critical.

This workshop is presented by:

Kerrie Sheaves - Director | Foundational Non-Profit Consulting

About Kerrie:

Kerrie Sheaves is the Community Section columnist for the Sydney Hills & Hawkesbury Living Magazine, has established & run her own NFP organisations for 9 years, as well as served on the board of NFP Charity organisations, and is the Chair of the Hills Mental Health Interagency. Kerrie has worked with micro and small non-profit groups providing consulting services, training and grant writing for over 7 years, as well as working with For Profit Micro and Small business owners, helping people to grow their ideas into reality.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • To define what benefits you offer to potential funding partners like sponsors and donators.

  • To create options for the different people in your networks to help you raise funds regularly (beyond the BBQ!).

  • To assess and plan good return on your investments of time and money when promoting and fundraising for your group.

  • To prepare for writing grants, and finding partner groups, to help you apply for grants.
