DO Details

Women’s Health East in partnership with Multi-Cultural Women’s Health and the Migrant Information Centre Eastern Melbourne invite our TFER partners and other interested organisations to our series of workshops on embedding intersectionality across our prevention practice.

The workshops dates (by registering you are committing to the first two sessions) are:

1.  11th of December 2017 (9.00am to 4.30pm)

2.  19th of February 2018 (9.30am to 1pm)

3.  16th of April 2018 (10am to 12.30pm)

4.  18th of June 2018 (10am to 12.30pm)

The aim of our workshop series is to embed intersectionality across our prevention practice and work places. Through the four sessions we will explore intersectionality in the context of TFER partner's PVAW and Gender Equality practice, strategies and approaches. Our workshops will utilise mixed modes of learning and participatory processes and activities. We will also explore the theory of intersectionality and best practice principles through practical local examples from MIC.

Please think about a project, policy, or approach you are currently working on (or are thinking about working on) that you can bring into the sessions.

Morning tea and lunch is provided.
