The City of Canterbury Bankstown in partnership with the Bankstown White Ribbon Working Party are once again hosting the Canterbury-Bankstown White Ribbon Tug O' War Cup.

Get a grip, pull your weight and oppose violence against women.

White Ribbon Day is an international campaign led by men who are taking a stand and speaking out against violence towards women. These men are STRONG MEN who swear to stand up, speak out and act to prevent men's violence against women.

Men from local businesses, schools, organisations and residents are encouraged to submit their teams of five men to compete in the Canterbury Bankstown White Ribbon Tug O’ War Cup to show theirr support for the campaign. The Cup will be taking place on Friday 24 November 2017, 12.00-2.30pm at the John Mackay Indoor Sports Centre, Bankstown Memorial Oval, Chapel Rd South, Bankstown.

The day will involve teams competing against each other in a friendly Tug O’ War competition and performances from the local RESPECT program facilitated by Bankstown Youth Development Service and. Participants and spectators will also have the opportunity to take the White Ribbon Oath to pledge their support for the campaign.

A BBQ lunch will be available on the day with all gold coin donations will go towards White Ribbon Australia. Team registrations are essential and free.
