Parksinsons ACT A Walk in the Park - Has Ended

Our Walk in the Park is your opportunity - every couple of years - to show your support for people living with Parkinson’s and their families in the ACT and surrounding areas.

This year, we are holding our Walk on Sunday, 27 August 2017, with registrations opening at 9:30 am. The Walk will start at Rond Terrace, on the edge of Lake Burley Griffin and proceed through beautiful Commonwealth Park.

Why support the Walk and through it Parkinson’s ACT? There is currently no cure for Parkinson’s but we want to help over 1,500 people living with Parkinson’s in our region to live their best lives now! Every dollar raised will go to help people living with Parkinson’s. The Walk will raise funds for our ongoing activities, such as our support groups, two dance groups, a Painting with Parkinsons group, monthly bulletin and contributions to research.

In addition, this year we are looking at providing more community support to people living with Parkinson’s and their families in our region. Funds raised in the Walk will help us make this a reality.
