Mel Yeates is raising $100,000 for beyondblue (anxiety and depression awareness) and Love Your Sister (cancer research).
She started off with an initial target to raise $20,000 in 20 months for these charities, and managed to smash this in less than six months!
From December 2016 she has been traveling around Australia, busking, playing gigs, and attending fundraisers that people have organised.
She has already received some generous donations:
Goodfellows Car Rentals has given her a car to use free of charge for the year on the road, Elixir Strings have sent her a huge pack of strings for my guitar, Rolland have sent a loop pedal to use for her trip!
