Popular singer and actress Marina Prior will be performing at the Glasshouse for the Hastings Cancer Trust.

Renowned for thrilling audiences across the country and regarded as Australia’s leading lady of the theatre stage, the Australian star will visit Port Macquarie in August and perform in a concert where the proceeds will go to charity post event.

Limited Seats: VIP price includes post show meet and greet with drink/nibbles from 9pm -10pm in the Ross Family Studio.

About Marina

Marina Prior is regarded as Australia’s leading lady of musical theatre.

Her first professional audition resulted in her first lead role - that of Mabel The Pirates of Penzance. She was subsequently invited to perform the role of Guinevere opposite Richard Harris in Camelot.

Since then she has performed over thirty lead roles in stage shows throughout Australia including such shows as Cats, Les Misérables,West Side Story, Annie Get Your Gun, Guys & Dolls, Mary Poppinsand The Sound of Music. Possibly her most memorable being the role Christine Daae in the original Australian production of The Phantom of the Opera, which she performed for three years.

She is also well known to television audiences through her appearances on Carols by Candlelight, as a judge on Channel Seven’s It Takes Two and, more recently, as Iris in The ABC seriesThe Divorce.

Marina has recorded seven CDs: Leading Lady, Aspects of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Somewhere – The Songs of Sondheim and Bernstein, Both Sides Now, Encore, Candlelight Christmas andTogether - a duet album with Mark Vincent.

Marina has won numerous awards for her performances, as well as an Advance Australia Award for her contribution to the performing arts. In 2006, she was honoured with induction into Australia’s 100 Entertainers of the Century.

Later this year she will play the role of Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly for The Production Company, tour with David Hobson in a series of concerts and play the role of Judith Bliss in Hayfever, for Melbourne Theatre Company.
