Last night was the Make-a-Wish Gold Coast Branch Envy Jewellery Extravaganza. Attendees included Dale Mansfield and Amanda Spink (both pictured), Colleen Littlejohn and Vicki Pilgrim from the Friends of Make-A-Wish Gold Coast Branch.
Thursday March 29 was the day before the Easter Holiday long weekend and the day of the Moo Moo March Ladies Luncheon. And what a great luncheon we had!! Fundraising for the Mater Foundation Little Miracles at Moo Moo Restaurant in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast were over 80 women who enjoyed the afternoon beginning with welcome champagne and canapes. Our divine lunch of entree lamb or chicken, main of steak or fish, and delicious panacotta was served with generous serves of select champagne, red and white wine. After balloons and hip DJ music the glamorous Gold Coast ladies whiled the afternoon away chatting as our lovely luncheon hostesses Amber and Silka kept us entertained and presented the raffle…
 Wednesday March 27 was the Friends of the Animals Luncheon at the Italo-Australian Club - Clear Island Waters on the Gold Coast. More than 150 women enjoyed a delightful lunch to support the Animal Welfare League of Queensland. Accompanied by lovely music we chatted about what's been happening on the Gold Coast with lots of fashion and jewellery on sale. The luncheon, hosted by Judith Eleanor,  raised over $1000 for the Animal Welfare League of Queensland. The next Friends of the Animals Luncheon will be Wednesday April 24 at the Italo-Australian Club - Clear Island Waters. See you there!
Tuesday March 26 was the March Friends of Make-A-Wish Luncheon in the Paradise Room at the Gold Coast Arts Centre. More than 80 women enjoyed a delicious lunch of fish followed by a delightful panacotta dessert. The Special Luncheon Guest Speaker was the lovely Dale Mansfield, Friends of Make-A-Wish Outstanding Fundraising Cooridnator, who spoke movingly about her life story and medical trauma. Everyone at the luncheon was quite affected by Dale's powerful life experiences and her message of positive thinking to help overcome adversity. We were also treated to a glamourous Fashion Parade by Di White Silk Resort Ware with lots of beautiful and colourful kaftans for a Gold Coast ladies.
Wednesday March 13 was the View Club of Runaway Bay (Queensland) Luncheon at the La Piazza Restaurant on the Gold Coast. Some 60 women enjoyed a lunch and luncheon speaker from Crime Stoppers whilst raising funds for The Smith FamilyCharity Learning for Life Program - education for less privelaged children. Friday March 8 was International Women's Day and the AEIOU Lynn's Lunch - supporting the Lynn Wright Memorial Fund. This delightful luncheon was held at the Victoria Park Complex in Herston, Brisbane. AEIOU is a major Queensland based charity that provides an incredible range of services for children with autism and their families.The luncheon keynote speaker was famous Australian author Kathy Lette who has a son with autism. Our Victoria Park venue was packed to the gills with lovely and elegantly dressed women who thoroughly enjoyed this  wonderful lunch for such an important cause. Thursday February 27 was the Inaugural Friends of the Animals Luncheon at the Italo-Australian Club - Clear Island Waters. More than 200 women, many who had previously attended the Chicks@Lunch events at the Southport Yacht Club, now enjoyed a delightful lunch to support the Friends of the Animal Welfare League of Queensland. Tuesday February 26 was the February Friends of Make-A-Wish Luncheon in the Paradise Room at the Gold Coast Arts Centre. More than 80 women enjoyed a delicious lunch of chicken with mushrooms followed by a yummy chocolate cake with cream, custard and a strawberry. The Special Luncheon Guest was the handsome Dan Teka -Sunday Breakfast Radio Presenter for 94.1FM on the Gold Coast, who serenaded us with many romantic love songs and left us swooning!  Friday February 22 was the now famous Mary Lakey Morning Tea to raise funds for the Mater Foundation's ovarian cancer research. Over 250 women attended this year's Mary Lakey Morning Tea held at the Tattersals Club in downtown Brisbane.
