Apr 27 2017 Australian Ski & Snowboard Awards - Melbourne

After a record breaking International season for Australia’s Snowsports athletes, on this night we will celebrate and recognize their outstanding achievements at the 2017 Australian Ski & Snowboard Awards in Melbourne on 27 April 2017.

The Australian Ski & Snowboard Athlete of the Year award is the highest honour bestowed upon the athletes in the sport.

Over the past few months, Australian athletes have claimed two World Cup Series Crystal Globes, 35 World Cup and five World Championship medals. The closest we’ve had to this result was in 2013 where Australian athletes claimed 25 World Cup medals.

In addition, Australia’s Para Snowsports athletes have also won this season; two IPC (International Paralympic Committee) World Cup Crystal Globes, 26 IPC World Cup medals and three IPC World Championships medals.

The awards recognize the outstanding results of athletes in the different snowsports disciplines, para-snowsports as well as the rising stars and developing athletes in junior disciplines. Coaches and schools with significant contributions to the sport this season will also be awarded, however, the highlight of the night will be the crowning of the coveted Athlete of the Year.

We welcome all Ski & Snowboard Australia members, stakeholders and snowsport enthusiasts to join us and celebrate this incredible year with a cocktail function including food and beverages.
