Mar 17 - The Battle 2017 - Beach Volleyball Battle for Cherish Womens Cancer Foundation

The Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation has once again issued a battle cry to the people of Brisbane ahead of their annual signature fundraiser – The Battle.

Uniting people of all ages for the sixth year running, The Battle will see teams from across Brisbane hit the sand in a friendly beach volleyball tournament on Friday 17 March, 2017.

Hosted by Olympic Beach Volleyball gold medallist, Natalie Cook, The Battle will help raise much-needed research funds to find more targeted, effective and less invasive treatments for gynaecological cancer sufferers.

Register a team in this social beach volleyball tournament (no beach volleyball experience required!) and get set for an entertaining evening on the sand. Enjoy delicious BBQ fare and stick around for a celebratory drink or two after presentations!

With more than 5,500 Australian women diagnosed with gynaecological cancer each year (1,000 in Queensland alone), the grim reality is one in three women will not survive – and this Battle is for them.
