Visiting Butterfly Babies at the Perinatal Research Centre - Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital

CharityDOs recently visited with Amanda Barnett, General Manager Butterfly Babies for the Perinatal Research Centre at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH). The Butterfly Babies extensive fundraising program provides funds for the world class and cutting edge Perinatal Research Centre.

The Perinatal Research Centre, led by Professor Paul Colditz (pictured above), is committed to improving perinatal health through world class biomedical and clinical research. In particular, the ultimate goal of the Brain Research Group is to develop therapies which will minimise neurological injury and improve infant outcome through a better understanding of the mechanisms of cell injury and death in perinatal asphyxia.

In addition to the famous and glamorous Butterfly Ball to be held on Saturday November 2 at the Sofitel Hotel in Brisbane, Butterfly Babies is developing an extensive range of fundraising activities. CharityDOs will be at the Butterfly Ball!
