Oct 12 Back in a Heart Beat - Urban Lifesavers Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Event- Melbourne

BACK IN A HEART BEAT

Sudden Cardiac Arrest awareness event

Urban Lifesavers is seeking your support to help us raise public awareness of the incidence of sudden cardiac arrest and the lifesaving role that bystanders can play by quickly applying an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the leading cause of death in Australia, striking 33,000 Australians every year. Without early defibrillation, less than 5% of victims survive.

Minutes matter to save the life of someone in sudden cardiac arrest.

Bystanders can be Urban Lifesaver heroes by applying an AED without delay.

You could save the life of someone you love.

Come along to the BACK IN A HEART BEAT cardiac arrest & defibrillation awareness event and learn why, when and how to apply an AED to a victim in cardiac arrest.

Date:                       Wednesday 12 October 2016

Venue:                     Main Precinct, Federation Square, Melbourne CBD (map link)

Time:                       11:30 - 12:30           (Registration )

Sudden cardiac arrest does not discriminate - it can strike anyone, of any age, anytime, anywhere.

It is the one cause of death in which the actions of an ordinary person can restore life.

Education is the key to saving lives.
