Our annual Gala Dinner is all about creating connections. It is an opportunity for friends, donors and corporate partners of CKC to come together and celebrate a year of milestones at CKC and raise much needed funds for Mekhala House and Mekhala Learning Centre.

Attended by an average of 120 friends, the dinner is without doubt the highlight on the Melbourne event calendar.  The night will include a delicious three course dinner served by the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, live entertainment from acclaimed Melbourne band, Phoebe and the Night Creatures, Cambodian cultural entertainment and a live video link to the girls in Prey Veng. An old Khmer proverb told locals that “men are gold and women are white cloth” but at CKC we know the opposite is true. To celebrate the strength, determination and potential of young women in Cambodia, we invite you to wear ‘A Touch of Gold’ to this year’s Gala Dinner.
