What a fun lunch! The Gold Coast Chicks@Lunch monthly luncheon at the Southport Yacht Club is a great way to meet other women on the Gold Coast and support the Animal Welfare League of Queensland Inc. Nearly 100 women enjoyed a lunch with wine or champagne and coffee or tea. This month’s luncheon on Wednesday August 29 saw karaoke and dancing adding to the fun. I sat with a delightful table of women from Paradise Point, Sovereign Islands and many other Gold Coast suburbs. Chicks@Lunch monthly get-together, founded by Rosie Thompson Each includes a different theme and next month – September – it’s a 1960s theme. I’m looking forward to next month’s Chicks@Lunch!
