Boat owners wishing to participate in Flotilla for Kids must ensure that their owner/skipper and boat comply with the regulations of Transport SA. All participating boats MUST have the ability to motor at a minimum of 4 knots. Boat owners are reminded the maximum speed in the river is 7 knots.
Participants also agree to the following:
"I am aware that boating activities are potentially dangerous and undertake to participate in Flotilla for Kids at my own risk; I release the organisers of Flotilla for Kids from all liability for loss of life, injury or damage however caused arising from Flotilla for Kids or from the condition of premises or boats or equipment used in Flotilla for Kids, or in any way due to neglect, breach of duty, default and / or omission by any of them; I shall indemnify the organisers of Flotilla for Kids from all costs and claims; and all costs, liability, losses and expenses incurred by them arising from my participation in Flotilla for Kids; I agree not to display material for commercial or political purposes or distribute promotional material (eg throwing lollies etc). I agree to observe and comply with all directions and instructions given to me by the organisers of Flotilla for Kids or their agents (whether paid or voluntary); I will be able to maintain a listening watch on the day on either 27.94 MHz or VHF Channel 77 for any directions or instructions from the Officer of the Day.”
BOAT COMPETITION
Enter your vessel in one of three categories! Best Themed, Most Colourful or Outstanding Fundraising!
To ensure entry in this competition and for ease of identification of your vessel on the day, you MUST complete the online booking form and pay the Boat Registration Fee no later than 29 January 2016.
The judging panel, stationed at Inner Harbour, will be comprised of representatives from Little Heroes Foundation.
The Judges’ decision is final. Winning entries will be notified by telephone within 48 hours after the event.
ENCOURAGE SUPPORT FOR YOUR BOAT
Over the years Little Heroes Foundation has raised more than $16 million dollars for lifesaving facilities at Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital and provide daily support for families through the Little Heroes Care program.
Funded projects at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital include:
$2 million towards the Michael Rice Centre for Haematology and Oncology
$3 million for two new MRI machines and an ambient lighting package
$1.5 million for the Play Deck and adjoining café
$1 million for a state of the art endoscopic operating theatre
We have now set our sights on raising $4 million for a world class Robotic Rehabilitation and Research Centre at Adelaide's Women's and Children's Hospital to help seriously ill children get back on their feet.
Become a ‘Flag Sponsor’ and fundraise for Little Heroes Foundation. If you fundraise over $1000, you will receive a Limited Edition 'Hero' Flag (1300mm x 900mm) to fly on your boat. Yellow (900mm x 600mm) Flotilla for Kids Flags are also available for purchase from Sports Centre Online.
Challenge your crew, friends, colleagues or social club to support your vessel’s participation by making a donation to your fundraising campaign. Online donation pages will be available through our HeroesHQ fundraising website. Jennifer from Little Heroes Foundation will be establishing the Flotilla for Kids fundraising page. Once online, you will be able to create your profile and make an optional donation to kick start your fundraising page for Flotilla for Kids. Businesses or clubs who wish to fundraise without registering a boat are more than welcome to do so.

Donations $2 and over are tax deductible. We can supply a receipt book on request, or if you've opted to have the online fundraising page, then tax deductible receipts for online donations will be issued electronically.
