TLC for Kids is a national children’s charity that supports sick kids and their families in hospital. The distraction services facilitate kids through frightening medical procedures, in the critical 48 hour period following any emotionally changeling situation in hospital.

TLC for Kids Gold Coast Affiliate is the first affiliate in the Country. The Gold Coast Affiliate of TLC for Kids will support LOCAL sick children in the Gold Coast hospitals. All monies raised on the Gold Coast will support our very own local sick children in hospital and expand the services of TLC for Kids. The Gold Coast Affiliate is made up of only volunteers.

The launch of the Gold Coast Affiliate of TLC for Kids will take place on Friday 11th September, with a breakfast event, to be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor at 7.00am.

Guest speaker is Tim Conolan – CEO & Founder of TLC for Kids. Tim was voted Australian of the Year - Local Hero for 2014, and an inspiration to many. Tim established TLC for Kids back in 1998, since then, the charity has assisted more than 5 million sick children and their families. His mission is very clear: to ensure every child in every hospital in Australia has the emotional & practical support they need.

The Gold Coast Affiliate will introduce the RAPID TLC Program that is the fastest referral system of its kind in Australia. We will respond to all requests immediately, and fulfilling them within 24-48 hours, if not within the hour – hence the name RAPID TLC. On average TLC for Kids receives 1 X RAPID TLC Referral per day, and spends up to $500.00 fulfilling that request. The Gold Coast Affiliate will follow in these footsteps.
