Support the Sydney 25 June Make It Happen Charity Cocktail Party

Making it happen for children

We would be greatly honoured by your presence and support as sponsors at our upcoming “Make it happen” cocktail charity event to be held on the 25/06 at X studio Kings cross in celebrating children. The intention is to screen the movie “I AM A girl” and thereafter have few speeches regarding adoption.

The aim

To move people-inspire them to action and debate on issues surrounding child adoption

To create awareness about international and local adoption

To create awareness on the plight of a girl child

To remind us the need to be proactive not reactive

To have an insight on the legal structure on adoption and what legislation need to be addressed

To hear experiences from people who have adopted or have been adopted

I am a Girl is an inspirational feature length documentary that paints a clear picture of the reality of what it means to be a girl in the 21st century. The film won Best Documentary Feature at the Screen Producers Australia Awards, was nominated for four AACTA Awards including Best Direction in a Documentary and was also nominated for Best Direction in a Documentary Feature at the Australian Directors Guild Award.

The event will also provide an opportunity for the audience to hear firsthand experience from leaders in matters relating to child adoption and what should be our next step of action to protect children and what does adoption and fostering mean in Australia? We will also have a chance to hear from the founder of Make it Happen and what they do and how we can support the initiative

Sincerely,
