Kids Giving Back Providing Volunteer Opportunities for Children

Kids Giving Back is a not for profit charity co-founded by friends Ruth Tofler-Riesel and Carole Schlessinger. We are Sydney based and provide volunteer opportunities for children (ages 6 - 18), families, schools, community groups and corporations locally (Greater Sydney), as well as internationally through our partner program in Thailand. In the next few weeks we are excited to be launching Schoolies Giving Back, providing volunteering options in both Thailand and Cambodia.

- In the past year and a half we have provided volunteering opportunities for over 1,750 students and family members.

- Since our inception not even two years ago, over 860 young people and parents have participated in our Cook for Good program, cooking, packaging and delivering over 8,200 meals to individuals in need.

- We have worked with 18 schools across Greater Sydney, with the majority repeating and expanding programs across their year groups.

- We have organised over 90 programs, working with over 35 charity partners such as the Asylum Seekers Centre, Wayside Chapel, and the Benevolent Society.

We recently received our DGR tax deductible status.

A bit more about us:

Who is Kids Giving Back

Kids Giving Back is a movement. We provide opportunities for young people to give back, and in doing so to grow community. Kids Giving Back are connectors to charity and community partners, and we enable kids and teenagers to give back and make a difference to others, and in turn to themselves. We make it easy for kids to do good.

What do we offer?

We run programs which provide the space for the magic of giving back to happen.

We are a hub for a network of charity partners and we engage young people in giving back, hands on, to charities and community organisations.

We consult to schools and corporations to develop ongoing Service Learning programs and volunteer opportunities both local and international.

I'm attaching our brochure with additional information, as well as our program flyers. To read more about us: Our website introduces visitors to our broad range of programs including our international service learning trips www.kidsgivingback.org. It is also home to our blog which offers inspiring reflections on our programs.
