Friends of Parkinson's Society of the Gold Coast Launch

Yesterday was the inaugural lunch for the Friends of Parkinson's Society of the Gold Coast the Quality Hotel Mermaid Waters.

Organisers Judith Eleanor (juditheleanor1@gmail.com) - pictured above - and Vilma Makin (vilmamakin@ozemail.com.au) provided a fun-filled lunch with lovely food for the bevy of ladies who attended.

The event raised over $300 for the Friends of Parkinson's Society of the Gold Coast

There are approximately 4,000 diagnosed Parkinson's Disease sufferers on the Gold Coast. With no government funding, the Society is hard pushed catering for the needs of sufferers, their carers and their families. The society is raising funds to be able to improve the situation of Parkinson's sufferers by purchasing aids as required, on a "needs be" basis.

The society has a great schedule of 2014 fundraising events listed on http://www.charitydos.com.au
