July 22 Childrens Cancer Institute Diamond Ball presented by Electrolux - Melbourne

Funds raised at Diamond Ball will go towards the Zero Childhood Cancer program, A national personalised medicine program for children with high risk cancer. This program is jointly led by Children’s Cancer Institute and the Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick. It will give hope to children who are at highest risk of treatment failure, by identifying the best possible tailored treatments for them.

The Zero Childhood Cancer program will involve all pediatric oncology units across Australia including the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne and Monash Children’s Hospital who treat the 950 children and adolescents who are diagnosed with cancer every year. These hospitals will work collaboratively with a range of key Medical Research Institutes both nationally and internationally who are part of the Zero Childhood Cancer program including Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI).
