The Gold Coast Arts Centre was the site for the Friends of Make-A-Wish Luncheon on Tuesday September 25. What a spectacular location for this monthly luncheon looking towards the tall buildings of Surfers Paradise. Friends of Make-A-Wish raises funds to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Many women attended the luncheon and we all enjoyed the day with those wonderful views. My lunch was very tasty and included a scrummy dessert of strawberries and cream. With a fascinating guest speaker telling us about his vast adventures, lucky door prizes and the sale of lovely costume jewellery, the event was a lovely happening. As this luncheon is a monthly event, yours truly will be back for the Friends of Make-A-Wish luncheon in October!
